More than $2 million will be refunded to drivers who
were caught driving through red lights after an investigation by
Victoria's road safety camera commissioner, Gordon Lewis.
The report looked at the timing of amber lights at eight red light camera intersections in Melbourne and Geelong. The length of the amber light phases was too short for the speed limit at those intersections.Almost 7,000 infringement notices averaging $350 will be refunded.Some of them date back eight years.
